Kate Vetch – Choir Director
Kate graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire with honours in vocal and operatic studies in June 2006 and subsequently combined a busy teaching and performance career, performing with companies including Grange Park Opera, Opera Holland Park, Thursford Productions, The South Bank Sinfonia and the English Touring Opera, as well as teaching in a wide range of settings including private stage schools, music services and arts organisations.
From 2009-2010 she had the privilege of working with Pimlico Opera working on two productions with inmates at HMP Wandsworth. This experience inspired Kate to pursue a teaching career, having witnessed first hand the transformative impact that music and the arts can have on an individual’s life. In 2011 she completed a PGCE in secondary music at The University of Greenwich and Trinity College of Music.
Following this she worked as a secondary music and performing arts teacher in East London. In 2014 she was appointed as Music Co-ordinator at Coldfall Primary School. Since then she has continued to develop the strong musical offer of the school as well as completing an MA in Arts Education at Kings College London.
Kate’s has over 15 years experience of teaching singing and directing choirs and is extremely excited by the prospect of working with young people in North London to engender and develop a love for singing and enabling young musicians to fulfil their potential.
Nina De Sausmarez
Nina’s passion for performance started from a young age where she played lead roles in youth theatre productions of;South Pacific, Oliver and Jesus Christ SuperStar,’ After moving to London she trained as a singer and recorded syncs for television ads where she was spotted and signed to Universal Records. She has assisted Coldfall Choir for almost 10 years and has performed with them at The Barbican and many other concerts around London. She has been a member of the Fortismere Community Choir and is currently enjoying singing with her colleagues in the Coldfall Staff Choir.
