The Choir

Coldfall Youth Voices is a choir for secondary school aged students in Muswell Hill, North London. The choir rehearses on Monday evenings from 5.00 p.m. - 6.00 p.m. at Coldfall Primary School, under the direction of Kate Vetch and Nina De Sausmarez who have jointly directed Coldfall Primary School Choir for the past five years.

Under their direction the school choir has gained a strong reputation and participated in numerous high profile performances; they have performed at the Barbican in the London premiere of Roland Perrin’s ‘Rio Amazonas’ under the baton of David Temple, and in July 2018 they performed Carmina Burana at The Queen Elizabeth Hall; also in July 2018, they performed at Birmingham Symphony Hall as part of the National Music for Youth Festival. Other performances include The Wigmore Hall, Union Chapel, Alexandra Palace and The Royal Albert Hall.

Kate and Nina are passionate about the positive impact high quality music making can have on children and young people and feel it is time to offer such opportunities to secondary aged children in the local community.

Entrance is by audition and membership costs £7 per session with bursaries available.
