Le Tour is coming

Join us to celebrate the world's biggest annual sporting event, the Tour de France, when it descends on Yorkshire in July. We've got lots of themed events happening, campsites on the route and activities over Le Tour weekend itself.

Camping on the route of Le Tour

We have four sites across Yorkshire where you can pitch your tent or park your campervan to get prime viewing spots for the big race. Sleep under the stars at some of Yorkshire's most picturesque locations including Buckden in the Yorkshire Dales, Hardcastle Crags, Brimham Rocks and East Riddlesden Hall.

Camp in the heart of the action

Shakespeare, done differently

The HandleBards use their bikes to power various surprises and contraptions on-stage, whilst playing all the parts in a wild 1930s indie-folk romp. They'll be arriving at Hardcastle Crags (by bike, naturally) on 3 July to perform Macbeth, Shakespeare's dark tale of ambition, magic and murder.

Tour de Cinema pedals on

After sell-out shows at Malham Cove, Hardcastle Crags and Brimham Rocks, the Tour de Cinema is pedalling on through June. It's free, but you'll need to book your tickets for these cinema screenings with a difference when we play host at Fountains Abbey and Ravenscar on the Yorkshire Coast this June.

Dear Mr Vetch,

Enjoying Le Tour with us

We're putting on a large car park at Buckden in the Dales, perfectly located for one of the race's major climbs on Saturday 5 July. On the race's second day starting in central York, we'll be dishing out drinks and snacks from our shop on Goodramgate and from Treasurer's House (where you can also use the facilities and pop back for a slap-up lunch later on).

Dear Mr Vetch,
