The Parish Council
Buckden Parish Council is one of 37 Parish Councils in the Craven District. The Parish Council is the first tier of local government and has a variety of responsibilities including matters relating to the environment, public health, recreation, transport facilities and public spaces in the Parish. The Council has a number of direct responsibilities but also represents local views and interests to the District Council.
The council represents the Parish of Buckden, which includes the village of Buckden itself, as well as the hamlets of Cray, Hubberholme, Raisgill, Yockenthwaite, Deepdale, Beckermonds, Oughtershaw and Greenfield.

The Council meets in the Institute on
the second Monday of each month at 7.00 p.m.
