Up Wharfedale

A member of a well known Dales  farming family, Peter Beresford, has produced a new CD entitled ‘Up Wharfedale’, featuring music inspired by the countryside and people of Upper Wharfedale. All proceeds from the sale of the CD are being donated to Hubberholme Church.

Peter follows in the footsteps of numerous Beresfords who have been musicians in Upper Wharfedale for generations. His father, Arthur  Beresford, was born and raised at New House between Deepdale and Beckermonds. Together with Peter’s mother, Mabel, they are buried at Hubberholme Church.  ‘Up Wharfedale’ includes four instrumental tracks all written and performed by Peter. Whilst attempting to capture the unique character and spirit of Upper Wharfedale, they  explore  different styles and genres ranging from traditional/folk to classical and swing jazz.

At £8.50 (or £10 including p/p) this will be a great Christmas stocking filler or present , and the proceeds are being donated to a very worthy cause.
