Buckden Singers rehearse on Thursdays until the end of April and then on Mondays. Rehearsals are from 7.30 - 9.00pm, usually in Buckden Village Institute. Click here for rehearsal & performance dates
The
group is conducted by Anne Vetch, and John
Cowpe is the accompanist.
The group sings different types of music and,
following two successful Christmas concerts, is now preparing for summer
concerts in Hubberholme
Church and in Threshfield in in July .
Founded in January 2007 with just 15 members, the Singers now
have 36 members with the accent firmly on enjoyment. More members
would be very welcome so please do come along and see what sort of sound we can make!!! The only
qualification is enthusiasm!
The Singers were recently filmed in rehearsal, for a a forthcoming BBC TV programme "In Search of England's Green & Pleasant Land" to be broadcast in April. Click here for pictures
