Beast of Buckden - Myth or Reality?

Villagers will intrigued to hear that the so-called "Beast of Buckden" has finally been captured on film. First spotted by Josie Cowpe lurking threateningly behind the Old Sawmill (the Beast, not Josie), the elusive creature initially defied all attempts to prove its existence. Indeed speculation was rife that the beast was the figment of Josie's imagination, especially as it only appeared on the way home from the pub.

However an infrared night vision camera mounted on the top of No 2 Buckden Court, and triggered by a passive movement sensor, captured the picture below, confirming the existence of the beast once and for all.

Subsequently the Beast has become bolder and this picture which was taken by a holiday maker at Dalegarth in broad daylight, shows the beast leaving Josie's kitchen after it had apparently sneaked to to help itself to a rock bun.

This snap was taken by the river at Hubberholme and shows the Beast when, becoming more confident all the time, it borrowed John & Josie's car to pop down to the George for a swift half.

Incontrovertible evidence of the existence of the beast? You decide!

STOP PRESS - Unconfirmed reports have been received that the Beast has built its lair behind Terry Newman's Wheelie Bin collection. Best picture will be published!
